What will you see?

Undergrounds tunnels – collectors where you can find most of engineering nets that ensure run of a modern city. Experts will show you a technology of building of collectors and the way of placing of engineering nets. They will show you a central control where you will see one of the most modern and largest system of monitoring in the world. They will also show you some of wells of engineering nets leading from collector directly to cellars of houses. You will see a mine railway station and take a ride on a mine lokomotive. You will get up to 40 metres underground. You will walk under historical monumets e.g.: the Powder Gate, the Municipal House, the Old Town Square, Týnský Cathedral ect. You will see Prague’s technical underground that is admired by experts from all around the world. Display of sight-seeing.

When to go?

The collectors are accessible in these days:

Groups (max. 16 persons)
Monday 9:00 – 11:00, 11:30 – 13:30
Wednesday 8:30 – 10:30, 11:00 – 13:00, 16:00 – 18:00
Saturday 9:00 - 11:00, 14:00 - 15:30 (only last Saturday on month)

Individuals (1 to 16 persons)
Monday 14:00 – 16:00
Wednesday 13:30 – 15:30
Saturday 11:30 - 13:30 (only last Saturday on month)

pondělí od 14:00 do 16:00 hod.
středa od 13:30 do 15:30 hod.
sobota 11:30 - 13:30 hod. (vždy pouze poslední sobota v měsíci) 

How much will you pay?
The fixed price for a group ticket is the same for all tours from 1.6.2008 and costs 4 500,- Kč.
The price for individuals – 300,- Kč.
The access to the collector is possible with a valid ticket only.

It is also possible to buy present vouchers for individuals or groups. In this case please contact Mr. Jiří Svoboda, e-mail: svoboda@hkp.cz. The owner of this present voucher have to book a date for sight-seeing.

Cancellation conditions

In case of a cancellation of paid booking 7 days before the sight-seeing date there is a cancellation fee 50 % of a paid price (including VAT). For the cancellation after this time limit there is a cancellation fee 100% of a paid price.

Choice of a trace

Tour A
Not very demanding and the shortest tour that is suitable for less efficient tourists. It is 900m long with a possibility of a ride on a mine lokomotive.

An entrance to a collector is on Senovážné square where the visitors will move by an elevator to a collector Centrum 1 (30m deep). The sight-seeing leads toward Ovocný trh and back.

Contens of sight-seeing
The function of the central control, basic information obout collectors in general, an explaining of the monitoring function, sight-seeing of a mine train station with mine mechanisms, showing of engineer nets led in the collector and an exhibit of construction parts of the collector. Sight-seeing and an explication focused on interests with showing of exceptional situations (alarm, siren, power cut, fire)

Tour B
Sight-seeing of a new built collector equipped with the most modern technical facilities. This tour is dedicated to technicians and expert public.

The entrance is again on Senovážné square and we start with sight-seeing of the central control.
Then the visitors will move by an elevator to the mine train station in the collector C1 where a journey through collector C1, that leads under Jindřišská street toward Wenceslas square, starts (version 1 – you can use a mine train for a part of journey). The visitors can see here a part of the newest collector Vodičkova that leads under Vodičkova street toward the Charles square. This collector has operated from the end of 2007. The end of sight-seeing:

Version 1 – sight-seeing ends on the Wenceslas square and then visitors return to Senovážné square to pick up their luggage and return borrowed protection helmets.

Version 2 – sight-seeing continues through the collector Vodičkova up to the Charles square where it ends in an exit by the New Town Council. This version has no return to Senovážné square. For version 2 please book the last sight-seeing of the day (sight-seeing lasts 2,5 hours).

Contens of sight-seeing
The function of the central control and showing of a technique of collector monitoring, basic information obout collectors, showing of engineer nets and its placing, the most modern technology of  collector building and showing of exceptional situations.
Showing of the collector Vodičkova as a rare structure built in very unfavorable geological conditions. It belongs to the most modern and best technically equipped underground structures in Europe.

Tour C
A very interesting tour partly leading under a historical town centre and historical basement. It is physically chellanging but it is also possible to go a part of it by the mine lokomotive.

The biggining of sight-seeing is on Senovážné square with an entrance to a collector Centrum 1 by the elevator to 30m deep and it continues to a collector Příkopy. Then it leads along Senovážná street toward the Municipal house and Celetná collector. It continues along Královodvorská street and from the House of the Black Madonna it leads to a Celetná collector. Here after 300m of walking visitors get out through a historical basement of a house in Celetná street near Týnský Cathedral.

Technically focused information about collectors, activities of the central control, showing of technologies of the construction of collectors and the technology of engineering nets, sight-seeing of the mine train station with mine mechanisms, showing of exceptional situations and wells of engineering nets leading from collector directly to cellars of houses. The exit through the historical basement in city centre of Prague by the Old Town Square.

Tour D
An atractive tour approximately 1000m long with a large number of technical interests, physically the most challenging, dedicated to visitors of expert public. It is also possible to go a part of it by the mine lokomotive.

The biggining of sight-seeing is on Senovážné square with an entrance to the collector Centrum 1 (approx. 30m underground). It continues to a collector Příkopy where you have to step on 5 ladders in total length 19m and then it leads Senovážná street toward the Municipal house (in front of the Municipal House you have to descend 5m down the ladder) and approx. 150m of walking under Na Příkopě street. The tour ends with climbing 8m ladder up to Slovanský dům.
