Visit booking system is available on www.prahatechnicka.cz or personally (after the preliminary telephonic agreement) in the seat of Prague Chamber of Commerce, placed at Náměstí F. Kafky 7, Praha 1
Notice: A visit is not suitable for physically handicapped persons; on the contrary it demands a certain physical ability because during the tour visitors will climb up 8 floors.

Group tickets:
To 10 persons – 1300 CZK
To 20 persons – 2500 CZK
Individual ticket – 150 CZK

Cancellation conditions:

Once the visit is paid, the cancellation fee 7 days before the visit is equal to 50% of the paid amount (VAT included). If the visit is cancelled less than 7 days before, a fee is equal to 100% of the paid amount.

A guided tour in water works in Podoli is composed of several parts, which are logically and spatially connected. Visitors have a unique opportunity to familiarize with a history of water-supply engineering in Prague as well as today’s technology of potable water making process. A tour includes a visit of premises of Museum of Prague water-supply engineering, a hall of filters, a machine room of raw water pump station, premises of racks where the raw water is chemically treated and finally a group step out on the gallery of the building, where an excellent panoramic view on Prague ends the tour.
Number of persons in the group is limited to 20 persons maximally and the guided tour lasts about 120 minutes.

Stucture of Tours:

1st part: - Museum of Prague watering – halls of filters
A museum is placed in the ancient stockroom of chemicals used to water treatment of raw Vltava water.  The water station is sometimes called Water Cathedral, thanks to a remarkable construction of hall dome which visitors could admire in this section.
Content of a visit: History and present situation of water supply in Prague. Interesting stories as well as historical facts are provided by guide during the tour. A presentation on current water treatment is included.

2nd part: Water-pumping station from Vltava river
For this tour section, a safety vest and helmets are lended. In this part, visitors have a chance to find out how water is treated, what the racks are good for, and how dirtiness is being removed.

3rd part: Chemical water treatment of raw river water – racks
Familiarization with a function, sense and technological treatment of raw water in racks

4rd part: Gallery of the water-treatment building – a panoramic view
